Jack Looney has a long-standing history with the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport. Jack has been a professional photographer for the past 10 years (www.jacklooney.com), but once worked at the airport as an employee of one of the airlines. His wife, Ryan Looney, is a former commercial airline pilot.
Jack is responsible for much of the beautiful aerial photography seen on CHO’s website. A few times a month, Jack flies with a pilot from the Charlottesville Flight Center (the flight school located at CHO) to take aerial photographs for a client in the area. As part of these flights, Jack likes to capture shots of the airport, which he shares with airport executive director Barbara Hutchinson and her team.
“My wife and I have seen a lot of airports because of our previous jobs, but we always like to come back to CHO,” said Jack. “CHO holds a special place in our hearts. The customer service we get there is something we just don’t see anywhere else.”
Jack says that his personal trips have been cut back since becoming a father, but when he does manage to get on a commercial aircraft, his first choice is to fly from CHO.
