The Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO) offers tours on a limited basis to small groups associated with non-profit organizations only. In order to comply with security requirements, groups may be no larger than 20 persons.

What You Will See

CHO tours provide a behind the scenes look at airport daily operations. Tour participants will have an air travel experience without leaving the ground, learning how one moves through the terminal building to the aircraft with a quick look at the firehouse and climb on the fire trucks as well. In addition to commentary by a tour guide, different airport groups may participate, such as airline representatives, TSA screening personnel, firefighters/police, or airport administrators. A tour may be organized according to the interest or special needs of an organization upon sufficient notice. Tours will last approximately one hour.
