Airfield Maintenance Technician

This full-time position is a member of the Airfield Maintenance team. Responsibilities include mowing on the airfield, assisting maintenance of airfield, building electrical systems and repairs of HVAC systems. Performing general building maintenance functions such as repairs in the terminal and parking lot lighting, painting and routine carpentry, sweeping, picking up trash, weeding, and mulching. On-call snow/ice removal is required of this position. The airfield maintenance teams are members of the Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting unit and will be required to successfully pass certification within 1 year of hire date and maintain certification. Schedules to include weekdays, weekends, evening shifts and holidays.

Starting pay rate: $16.50 per hour.

Must successfully complete all required Fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Checks and employment background check, pass a pre-employment drug screening and continually possess a valid Virginia driver’s license with driving record insurable by Authority’s automobile liability carrier.
